After graduating from SDSU’s Psychology masters (Physical and Mental health focus) program in Summer 2016, I started my doctoral program at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health in Fall 2016. SDSU’s master program was instrumental to my admission into my current doctoral program. Research-focused Psychology masters program at SDSU afforded me in-depth knowledge of research methods and statistics – a prerequisite for any doctoral program. I was most benefitted by the mentorship based model of the program.

I worked on three different research projects with my advisor Dr. Kristen Wells during my masters program and this helped me understand research process, write manuscripts, and present my work at national conferences. My success in the program was product of excellent skill-based classes (methods, writing, statistics) and my wonderful advisor who not only facilitated my research productivity but also helped me with my doctoral program applications.
