It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that Dr. Elizabeth Klonoff has accepted the offer to become the new VP for Research and Dean of the College of Graduate Studies at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Dr. Klonoff joined SDSU in 2000 to lead the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology as Co-Director. Under her leadership, the JDP reached national prominence as one of the leading doctoral programs in the U.S. Dr. Klonoff was one of the original principal investigators of the SDSU/UCSD Cancer Center Comprehensive Partnership and made significant scholarly contributions through her research on health disparities and tobacco control policies.
