enjoying family life with my wife and two children; bird watching; playing piano and the acoustic guitar (not very well); hiking; bicycling; reading the NYT or a good book; building kites or sun dials; growing orchids, herbs, tomatoes, and salvias in my backyard; listening to jazz, classical music, indie pop (KCRW!), world and folk music (Hober! see below); playing soccer; exploring the world of rugs; stargazing; cooking; baking bread, pretzels, and cakes.
