Prevalence and Correlates of African American Tobacco Use. The purpose of this research is to

elucidate the potentially unique community (e.g., segregation, neighborhood SES), social  (e.g.,  racial

discrimination) and cultural (e.g., religiosity,  hip-hop subculture) factors affecting that tobacco use in

African Americans.

Intra and interethnic differences in daily stress and coping: The predictive ability of the Behavioral

Concordance Model. The purpose of this research is to conduct an internet-based daily diary study on

 minority college students and adolescents in general. Trait-state models of the stress and  coping

process will be evaluated.
