We are excited to announce two wonderful opportunities for family and friends to help our graduates celebrate
their commencement!

This year our entire event (including the name reading ceremony) will be televised live on KPBS. Now, family and friends who cannot attend the ceremony need not miss out on all the fun. Don't forget to set your recording devices!
Cox Cable South County, Channel 23

Another fun event is the Psychology Department's Socail Reception (jus tafter the name reading ceremony) near the entrance to the Don Powell Theatre at Centennial Walkway.

Important Note for Graduates:
All gradates need to be in cap and gown and lined up by department in Parking Lot "L" (north of Cox Arena) no later than 12:15pm. All Master's grads and their hooding professors should come to the front of the Psychology Department line.

Approximate Timeline of Events for the BIG DAY

(Grads will need to show their RedID to enter the Cox Arena)

11:00am - 12:15pm

BA & Master's grads line up by dept. in Lot "L", with Masters grads and BA grads who are receiving awards at the front of the line (see important note to the left.)

12:45pm - 1:00pm The processional into the Cox Arena begins.

1:00pm - 1:45pm

Main College of Sciences (COS) ceremony, where doctoral and master's candidates are hooded and all degrees are officially conferred.

1:45pm - 2:00pm

Brief intermission while the Engineering Dept. departs to the Open Air Theatre for their name reading ceremony. More seats will then become available for COS guests.

2:00pm - 3:30pm

COS name reading ceremony (by department), where candidates walk across the stage and receive any awards or special recognitions (see important note to the left.)

3:30pm - 4:30pm

Psychology Department Reception and Social Event, near the entrance to the Don Powell Theatre at Centennial Walkway.
